Luise Ross

"I started out as a Saturday Morning Club helper soon after my eldest daughter joined Young Killie in 2000. Became a coach in 2001 taking the 5 year olds pitch and gaining my Early Touches level 1 coaching certificate.

I was invited to join the committee in 2002 and became Secretary soon after. Continued to coach when Young Killie moved to Powerleague, Kilmarnock. On completing my level 3 coaching certificate, Bobby Russell and I set up a dedicated girls pitch and at its height, I  was coaching 25 girls aged 5-15. Injury meant I had to give up coaching and helped with the administration on a Saturday Morning instead.

Appointed Treasurer in 2010 and still hold that position. Although I have turned my hand to anything that needs doing, as do all the management committee. Most recently I have been co-ordinating our charity fundraising and the members and parents are to be congratulated for their efforts.

I feel very privileged to be part of this young supporters club and love encouraging the members to support their team. One of my personal highlights is when new members come along to their first away match with us and we have had some great away days.

I would love to see every junior Kilmarnock fan enrolling as a member of Young Kilmarnock. It really is a great way to support the team."
